Steve Diamond gives his reactions to Sale v Harlequins

Friday 22nd February saw Bottom v Top at Salford City Stadium. Sale Sharks played host to Harlequins. Initial thoughts were, 'yeah, okay, we probably will lose but we will give it one hell of a fight!' And they did. Problem was... the Ref. I was situated in the South Stand of SCS and the disgust at the refereeing of the pitch was firmly heard throughout the stadium. Everyone was noticeably annoyed... 

Sale Sharks Academy bite back!

Last Friday saw the Sale Sharks Academy play against Gloucester in the Aviva Premiership U18s League. Having gone down 17 points in the first half the Sale Sharks bit back to secure a 34-24 victory. They play Leeds away this coming Friday.

Calling all budding musicians!

Do you fancy getting your music heard by our fans?

We are looking for a band to play at our last home game of the season against London Wasps on the 4th May. We want original, upbeat and powerful music blasting out of the fans bar on that (hopefully) sunny Saturday in May. The winning band will also have a video made and broadcast on the Sale Sharks Rugby Club Youtube channel.

Submit your songs* to jen.urwin@salesharks.com via WeTransfer.com and we will use the best music in our weekly training videos. We will then let the fans decide who they want to play at the end of the season.

*Sale Sharks must have permission to use submitted music in any Sale Sharks promotional material.

Sale Sharks VICTORY

There hasn't been many this season, and as per usual it came down to the last two minutes. VICTORY!!!
I thought I was going to pass out with the adrenaline! But work had to be done. Straight after the match it was into the press room to film Steve Diamonds post match thoughts. After that, XFM presenter and Sale Sharks announcer, Tim Cocker and I, went down the tunnel to grab some of the players to get their thoughts on the victory!

Kicking off at 7.45pm Sale Sharks will be taking on Exeter Chiefs in a renewed bid to get off the bottom of the Premiership.

After recent wins home and away in the LV Cup (reaching the Semi Finals), Sale will be looking to capitalise on their current form.
I'll be there pre and post match, getting the reactions from the night.

Chillin with Manchester 7s

Today I started my day at Chill Factor with the Manchester 7's team.
We were there to chat to Sale Sharks stars Henry Thomas and Charlie Amesbury about what it was like at school for their rugby passions and how that helped them progress to where they are today.

After that we bobbed over to Wilmslow School to chat with Mr Leggett as he won for some lucky lads a training session with England 7s stars Charlie and James Simpson-Daniels.
