Last night was the first of three friendlies for the Sale Sharks before the Premiership starts in September.
They were away to Fylde who put up a spirited performance against a strong Sale Sharks side.
Scoring only 7 points, Fylde were able to defend their line well in the first half, only letting in one try. The second half was a different story. With 11 changes to the Sharks at half time, to give more of the lads some game time, Sale finished the game with a 29 point lead.
Frustrating at times, the game saw some sparks of the Sharks we all know and love.
Next friendly is against Leeds Carnegie at Heywood Road on the 17th. A day which will see three games at the grounds:
Ste Thomas and myself grabbed Bryan Redpath, Jonathan Mills and Phil Mackenzie for their reactions from the night's game.
